Wappinger Storm Baseball

• The players come first, always. We put the health and wellbeing of our players ahead of wins and losses.

• We value strength and conditioning based on NPA principles. All players go through the same throwing program to both improve skills and avoid injury. 

• Our coaching staff's role is to teach, support and develop our players skills and passion for baseball. The players are the stars, not the coaches.

• Coaches, players and parents are expected to create a positive and support environment for both the Storm players and our competitors. We hold ourselves to a high standard in terms of sideline behavior and show respect to the umpire.   

• Wappinger Storm is 100% non-profit, all team fees are applied to league dues, umpires, balls & equipment, training, field and facility access.

• Storm fees are designed to be cost effective and affordable for all families. 

• We work closely with Town of Wappingers Little League to allow players to experience both Little League and Travel Baseball. 

• We believe in the value of kids playing multiple sports and interests outside of baseball. We design our practice and game schedules accordingly.

• We proudly support and encourage the participation in multiple sports and activities outside of baseball. We might be old school, but we think playing other sports has a positive impact on baseball play by using skills and muscles in a different way. Mostly it's just a lot of fun to play different sports without having to specialize.
